Chelsea is an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Leslie Phillips, LPC-S, NCC, ACS, BC-TMH. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021 and has gained a wealth of experience working in community mental health since then.
Chelsea’s approach to counseling is warm and inclusive, with a strong belief that a positive therapeutic relationship can increase quality of life and bring about change. She takes an integrated approach to counseling in order to meet clients where they are and utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, helping them to reframe ineffective thought patterns, focus on strengths, and set their eyes on future endeavors.
Chelsea has experience working with those with depression, anxiety/panic, adjustment difficulties, trauma, serious mental illness, and much more! She can help those who are experiencing a short-term challenge or a life-long battle. Some examples include adolescents who are experiencing anxiety at school, having difficulty socializing, being bullied, or having depressive and/or suicidal thoughts. She can also help adults who may be going through major life transitions, grief and loss, relationship troubles, work stress, a history of trauma, and any number of hardships a person may experience in life.
Chelsea is currently accepting new clients ages 14 and up and her practice is private pay. If you are interested in working with her, call 256-740-9147 or email croberts@takethereinscounseling.com.
